Starry Night

The other night there was a meteor shower.  At least that’s what I think it was.  I know nothing more than about a grade 6 level of what goes on up there, so I completely put all of my trust into my celestial loving friend, Shelly.  Together we trekked onto the deserted and completely darkened golf course, plopped down in the middle of the fairway, and looked up.  It was amazing.  I was lucky enough to see a couple of stars streaking across the sky.  I have never seen anything like it before.

The night didn’t end there.  Shelly and I decided to invite ourselves over to her neighbours’ house, who happen to be our very good friends, the Jones’.  A night of visiting, refreshments, and hot tubbing lay ahead of us.  Being the gracious host he is, Mr. Jones decided to cook us up some nachos on his Traeger.  He even let us eat them in his hot tub.  Although I couldn’t see what was on the nachos, they tasted delicious; heavy on the cheese, just how I like them.  We ate ourselves silly.

Sometimes all a girl needs for a fantastic night are good friends, good food and a fabulous view.  I headed home with stars in my head and nachos in my belly already thinking about what we will get up to next weekend.
